The Nightrainbow Project
Nightrainbow is the title of a 3-song EP I produced and recorded in the 1980's, but never completed for a variety of reasons. It included my originals "No Nukes Swing" and "Against the Law", plus "Moment of Assertion" by Barb Dunn (now Barbara Regina Shaw) and Jack Manno. The recording was done in Boston at Splice of Life Studio and mixed at Sound Techniques, with excellent musicians Barb Dunn on guitar and vocals, Betsy Rose on piano and vocals (plus invaluable production assistance), Abby Shearer on guitar, Jane Rhodes on bass, Sharon McGuire on drums, special guest Jean Fineberg on sax (Laura Nyro - Season of Lights, David Bowie - Golden Years, Sister Sledge - "We are Family"), and myself on vocals, flute, percussion and production. The recording was engineered by multi-instrumentalist Roma Baran (an Academy Award nominee who has produced numerous Laurie Anderson albums, as well as playing with Rosalie Sorrels and Kate McGarrigle among others) and Karen Kane.
I've always regretted that I did not complete this project, and have wanted to do something for the wonderful folks who invested in the Nightrainbow project! Therefore, I am happy to now make the following offer to those who ordered a copy of Nightrainbow!
You have a choice of the following options:
Send me your mailing address and I will send you a copy of my new special edition Solar Power Suite CD, which includes "No Nukes Swing" from the Nightrainbow Project and "Salute to the Sun" from my Sarabande - Solo Flute Meditations CD. This is the first time the Solar Power Suite has been assembled on a recording since these songs were composed in the 1970's. I'm amazed and gratified at how environmental consciousness has changed in the time since I wrote these songs, and how previously pioneering/fringe ideas like recycling, solar power, electric cars, organic gardening, and so much more have become common knowledge and increasingly common practice. Unfortunately "No Nukes Swing" is still topical, because Big Power is still trying to build a whole new generation of nuclear plants. For more on this, please visit my Nuclear Free Zone.
So if you want a copy of this CD, free of charge, I will send it along as a thank you for investing in my Nightrainbow project, and an apology for not being able to provide you with a finished Nightrainbow recording as promised.

Send my your mailing address, and, I will send you a CD copy of the Nightrainbow material, free of charge. This will not be a commercial-grade copy, nor will it be professionally packaged! However we made a darned good recording of these three songs, if I do say so myself, so if you want to hear how they came out, I will be glad to send you a copy. When I become famous, you'll be able to sell this on eBay for lots of money. Though of course it is so special you will not want to part with it!

It has always bothered me that I did not complete this project, and did not fulfill commitments that I made with integrity. So I would like to complete these commitments now.
